Keough + Sweeney Looks Back at 2017
2017 was a busy year for Keough + Sweeney. In September, we celebrated twenty years in business, and we are thankful for all of our clients who put their trust in us over two decades and allowed us to achieve that milestone.
There is nothing static about the legal profession and we always strive to be the best informed for our clients. Whether it is going to trial or simply providing legal advice, it is necessary to know the latest changes to the laws. With our practice in utility law and all of the innovations happening in the solar and wind energy in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, there has been so much to learn and study. In other legal fields, things change at a rapid pace. In Massachusetts this year, the change in child support guidelines impacted many of our cases. Whether it is a personal injury case, divorce proceedings, or a DUI case, applying knowledge and understanding of the law that impacts our clients is paramount for successful outcomes.
What does 2018 have in store for Keough + Sweeney? We are sure there will be more news in the utility field as this industry is always moving forward. (Rhode Island is a leader in this field!) Naturally we will continue to share changes in the laws in Massachusetts and Rhode Island across that impact our individual and business clients.
From Jerry, Sean and myself, we wish you all a very Happy Holiday and Happy New Year.
