Here at Keough + Sweeney, we keep a close eye on changes to laws in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Each year laws are changed or new laws are enacted, and not just in some of the areas that our practice focuses on such as divorce, child support, personal injury, utility law, or DUI/OUI.

There are many changes coming in the state of Massachusetts in 2019, including:

  • Statewide raising of the age that one can purchase tobacco products.
  • Minimum wage will also be increasing in the state.
  • Decrease in the state’s income tax rate
